Enhanced credit card module provides decreased transaction processing time and heightened security access
Orlando, FL – May 15, 2007
Software Answers, Inc., the industry leader in corporate housing property management solutions today announced the release of there enhanced credit card module for the Oscar 4™ application. The companies’ persistence to continually satisfy its clients with improved efficiency and functionality now provides a 100% integrated internet based credit card processing solution. The Oscar 4™ program now manages all credit card operations internally eliminating the need for additional hardware or a separate credit card server application.
The new credit card module helps businesses streamline labor intensive and time consuming tasks by supplanting the traditional credit card entry methods by way of a terminal and external printer with true process automation. The company, which stays in close contact with its customer base, was keenly aware of the challenges that organizations were facing. A clearly defined need to reduce A/R operations in card processing was needed. The latest version meets all of the current VISA/MasterCard requirements and most importantly the unique billing needs of the customers.
The Oscar 4™ credit card module dramatically reduces processing time by providing batch processing for hundreds of transactions with a single click reducing the end of month posting time normally found by using a credit card terminal from days to just a few minutes. Oscar 4™ can then automatically post the payments to resident ledgers. The Software Answers, Inc. development team seeking to optimize the popular batch transaction feature in the latest release was able to reduce the per transaction time from 5-6 seconds down to as little as 1.5 seconds.
In the latest release of the module, users can now get the benefit of batch credit card e-mailing as well. The user can now select a specific batch and send all of their invoices marked paid to their customers by e-mail in just one step. This results in a significant time and postage savings from sending each invoice one by one.
Because of the detailed reservation criteria sent to the credit card processors by Oscar 4™, users can directly reduce their overall processing costs. The specific arrival and departure information sent by Oscar 4™ to processors like VISA/MasterCard actually allows the merchant to receive a discounted rate.
With the scrutiny of credit card handling and processing at a peek Oscar 4™ ’s credit card module now gives the user the ability set security access in each area of the component including operations, reports and setup. The continuous improvement and added features of Oscar 4™ are natural progression for the company that features one of the industries best database encryption technologies that protects the card holder as well as the company who uses it.
Pricing and Availability
The Oscar 4™ credit card module and additional solutions are available now at www.softwareanswers.com The product is priced on monthly subscription basis of $150.00 per merchant account plus any processing fees.
Background
Furnished Dwellings has recently entered the furnished corporate housing market in New York City. The company provides it’s customers
with high quality corporate housing, furnished apartments, and short term rentals. In addition to their corporate clientele, residents
between a property sale and a close are also offered accommodations. In what seems like a New York minute, Furnished Dwellings is quickly
emerging as one of the most trusted housing companies in the city. The companies’ visionaries Abraham Kassin and Morris Sabbagh,
President and Vice President respectively, both have extensive backgrounds in asset acquisition and management. The formation of the
company has also fueled and provided ownership with a natural progression into brokering.
Challenge: Managing Vendor Relationships and Rapid Growth
Maintaining accurate and timely payment and receivable schedules during a period of accelerated growth can be demanding. This is
particularly challenging when one of the primary objectives is to acquire additional housing units while demand is at a peek. In the early
stages of the company Abraham and Morris were using a variety of ad-hoc methods from Excel sheets, scribbles and mental notes to capture
the operations aspects of their hectic day to day operations. The company needed a comprehensive but easy to navigate accounting and
reservation system that would free up time to locate and acquire additional properties to match consumer demand.
Solution: Consolidation of Business Processes
Abraham had previewed Oscar 4 while working for another management company and remembered that “it could be fined tuned to fit every
need.” Now, with an ownership perspective and the acquisition of apartments moving quickly, obtaining unit profitability reports and
invoicing became paramount. The ability to customize most every option of the reservations, units and tasks in Oscar 4 was pivotal in
Abraham’s decision to implement the software. The company was also able to eliminate the manual and tedious AP/AR processes that
often consume valuable company resources.
Benefits: Time Savings to Pursue Business Development
While Furnished Dwellings is continually seeking ways to grow and improve efficiencies one of their most valuable assets is time.
Oscar 4 allows them to focus on acquiring units and properties to position themselves as an industry leader in one of the most competitive
markets in the country. New York is one of the fastest moving cities in the world and meeting customers temporary house needs was
significantly streamlined with Oscar 4. With phones ringing constantly the Furnished Dwellings team can more readily focus on developing
their brand and exceeding customer expectations. For information about Furnished Dwellings visit www.furnisheddwellings.com
